A house is made of walls and beams; a home is built with love and dreams.

Over the weekend, we had a surprise visit from my cousin and her husband. We were talking about their recently purchased flat in Teban when the topic kinda shifted to our new house. They asked to see the floor plan and they oohed and they aahed at the millions of possibilities that can be done with the house. They suggested a whole list of things to do with the house. All of which THE DON and I just smiled at. If only we had the budget, there are a million and one things we wanna do to the house to. My cousin's husband even voluntereed to do the wiring for the house, if we need any new electrical outlets. So sweet of them. In fact they were so smitten with the house, they plan to find a unit in our cluster of blocks once they are eligible to sell their flat.

We plan to do very minimal renovation to the house. And whatever wiring we need THE DON plans to do so himself. (hurray for hands-on husbands!!!) We even contemplated painting the whole house ourselves but then again .. naaaah!!!!!! (Do I look like someone who will get her hands dirty??hehehe)We have seen nearly 10 different interior designers for their ideas. And through it, we came up with our own ideas on how we plan to transform the house into a home. Our home. Now what's left is to find someone who can actually built us what we want, within the constraints of our oh-so-tight budget.

I can't wait to finally move in. My room is like a storage dump now, filled with household items meant for our new home. This is not counting the additional stuff at THE DON's house. (the bulky ones all go to his place!!) There's just so many things I really wonder how we're going to bring them over. Probably with multiple trips from the Lancerlot.

Anyway I received an additional $50/-Takashimaya voucher this morning from my "favourite" salesman. A complimentary gift for all the blood he sucked dry off me, I'm sure. Together with the vouchers I received for my birthday, I can go splurge on more items for the new house! YEAH!!! Another reason to go shopping once I'm fine. Heheheh
