Belated Mother's Day Treat

Finally after a week's delay I got Umi the treat I had in store for her. It was supposed to be a surprise but she had guessed anyway where I was taking her.

Even before we stepped in, we were greeted with a sweet lemongrass smell as if beckoning us into its glass doors.

We took up the Mother's Day Promo (50% off for mothers)package. I was a nervous wreck (my first time!!!) by the time we entered the inner sactum of the place but was soon put to ease by the warm ambience of the place and the kind reassuring words of the therapists. The package was for a full 2 hours and seriously it was the 2 most relaxing hours in my entire life.

I took the Aromatheraphy package as it was the mildest of all (it being my first time and my ticklish nature and all) The therapist (Lily) asked some questions on my lifestyle and blended the essential oils accordingly. I felt instantly relaxed in the treatment room. My mind was an almost complete blank as I took in the sights sounds and feel. A water feature adorned the entrance of the inner sactum and the calming sound of falling water reverberated throughout the place. The room I was in had warm maroon walls and was candle lit. An organza material draped over the ceilings giving it an ultra cosy feel and the aroma of the essential oils filled my senses. Her silky touch and expertise made me feel like I was floating in mid-air, with not a single care in the world. If I weren't so nervous and self-conscious, I swear I would have fallen asleep.



The facial room in contrast was painted a calming blue. When the therapists put on the clay mask and asked me to relax while the mask did its work, I fell into a deep ZzzzZzzzz....

By the time it was all over, I felt brand new! So did Umi. She declared it the best Mother's Day gift she had ever had. Before we left, I signed up for the bridal package thingy they are having.

The best thing about the place is that its barely 5 mins from my office. Looks like Umi n I will be coming here a lot more in days to come.
