Went to Suntec after work yesterday to meet my best fren cum fellow Shopping Queen for our shopping session at the Robinson's warehouse sale. But first stop ---> The Rice Table Indonesian Restaurant @ Suntec. She has been wanting to bring me there for dinner but somehow the timing has always not permitted. So yesterday, despite being in a hurry to maximise our shopping time, we went anyway.



The ambience was lovely. Warm glow lights surround an authentic Balinese theme complete with water feature and batik place mats. Food was uniquely served on small platters on a horizontal food warmer on each individual table. It was essentially a buffet spread right before our eyes. We counted 19 different dishes, everything from lemak lodeh, to sambal prawns to otak otak and it didn't cost a bomb !!!!!! The food wasn't too bad too. Hmm.. looks like I'll b going back there pretty soon with THE DON and both our moms.

THE SALE
Despite the torrid rain and gusty winds n the meandering taxi queue, we still made our way to the Singapore Expo, of course with a lil' help from THE DON (he fetched us from Suntec n sent us to the Expo, Thank u DARLING !!!) Nothing was gonna come in between us and shopping. Surprisingly, there were not many people there. (the rain probably had sumthing to do with it) The shoes were going at a real bargain and of coz, of coz being the shoe-freak that I am, I got myself a pair.

There were many many crystals on sale. It was dirt cheap (as far as prices for crystals go) especially considering these were authentic Bohemia crystals. Our eyes glazed
over looking at the huge array of crystals shimmerring in the light. I got for our new place ice cream / dessert bowls, something I have been wanting for a very long time. Crystals have always fascinated me and I love giving away crystals as gifts. (Anybody wanna be my fren?)


We did not do as much shopping as we normally did. Simply because we did not have enough time and also as I was on a strict budget. (hahaha) But all in all it was a great day....
