SPLASH !!

Our decision to leave SG early on Thurs was indeed a prudent one. Thank goodness our journey was smooth sailing all the way. We heard that by 6pm that day the causeway was jam packed. Even the 2nd link was said to be congested. By 10pm that night, we had already reached Temerloh Pahang. The kids as expected, were ecstatic to see us. Hearing we were back there, my cousins from KL, Perak n Kuantan all came back too even though Fri was not a public holiday in Malaysia.

SATURDAY
Everybody (including the kids) woke up early today in antiipation of the picnic n swim. We brought enough food to feed an army --> Nasi Lemak, Fried Bee Hoon, Tuna Sandwiches, cartons n cartons of packet drinks, orange cordial, a huge circus-like tent (for purpose of changing clothes), lazy chairs etc etc .. I guess u get the idea. We practically brought the whole house. We went via 5 cars and one MPV. Roughly around 15 adults and 20 children.


The waterfall was just about an hour's drive away but my uncle made us all take the scenic route so we went through the Orang Asli villages. The houses looked very sparse and the roofs were made of straw. Looking at the inhabitants of the village were like watching a documentary on Discovery Channel. Believe it or not this was my first encounter with these indigenous people.

We decided to set up tent at the river instead as the waterfall (with all the rocks) were a bit too dangerous for the kids. The water was coold!!! But yet so refreshing and clear. We even sat on the rocks and ate sandwiches in the water. The kids had even more fun trying to run away from IS who teased them endlessly. I honestly dun think I have ever had so much fun like I did last weekend. Too bad I cant show you most of the pics we took on that day. censored coz I was tudung-less.
