Makan Sutra...

After work yesterday, IS and I went to Simpang Bedok to have an early dinner. I had a craving for Chicken Rice so we drove all the way there. They had prawn fritters so we ordered that too although it cost a whopping $12/-. It was very nice but soo not worth the price !!!! We ordered take-away Kway Teow in Upeh leaf. Its actually Hor Fun wrapped in a big white Pinang Leaf and tied using rafia string. It seems that in the olden pre-plastic container days, food was wrapped in such a way. Its not only enviro-friendly, it enhances the flavour of the food too. Too bad my hp was out of batt if not I'd surely have taken a pic or two to post up here.

And since 10 this morning, my office collegues have been busy discussing where to go for lunch today. Files on the table have barely been touched yet we are discussing lunch already. Talk about productivity !!! Hahahaha Anyway we have decided to go to Rex Mackenzie Chicken Rice at Prinsep Street. Thats the best thing about working in town all the nice food places are just one straight bus away.
