FAMILY MATTERS

On another note, my cousin n family n aunt from KL will be coming today. They will only arive around midnight but a whole list of itinerary has been planned for them. I'll be bringing my coz shopping tomorrow probably at the Robinson's Warehouse sale and/or Kiddy Palace Toa Payoh (heard it was huge) then off to Escape Theme Park on Sunday. Monday has been slated as guy's day out as THE DON will be bringing my coz's husband golfing in Desaru, together with his dad. I'll have to go to work so looks like my mom, sis and coz will have another field day shopping. They will be here till Wed as apparently it's gonna b the long hols for Malaysia. Sat is labour day then two more days of hols in celebration of Maulud Nabi. Hmmphh!!!!!!.. (I'm fuming in jealousy)

It's great to have such a close-knit family (actually extended family) and long hols like this sure come in handy for visiting relatives in faraway places. As long as I can remember, I've never spent a long weekend holiday in Singapore, I'd always be somewhere in Malaysia. Thats the wonderful thing about being in a humongous family.

Anyway one of the Interior Designers we met over the weekend commented how THE DON and I placed design considerations based on a large family but technically only 3 of us would be in the house. We didn't notice it too but now that he has mentioned it, we realised that indeed we do. For example, he suggested an L-shaped sofa but we declined as we felt a 3 + 2 will fit the family better. A few other decisions were also made on these premises. In fact, my aunt has said that if we have our own place, she and her family might consider even celebrating Hari Raya next year at our place. Now that would be really WONDERFUL !!!!!!
