This must be my lucky day. For the first time in many many many months IS actually agreed to go SHOPPING with me !!!! I wanted to check out the Picket n Rail moving out sale @ Marina Square. So we parked at Carrefour Suntec and crossed our way over via Millenia Walk. Walked straight into Harvey Norman, and our quick pass through turned out to be a whole hour of shopping. Checked out their huge range of furniture and electrical goods and more or less had items KIV-ed in mind to buy when we finally get our own place. Saw a sofa set we reaaally reaallly liked and almost put down a deposit but reminded ourselves to go slow. Lots of other important stuff to get first. The house (when we finally get it) can do w/o a sofa for a few weeks till after we come back from our honeymoon.

Dropped by METRO Marina (FINALLY!!!) Its the last 2 days of sale and the place was SWARMED with people. First stop -> Men's section. Wanted to pick up some business shirts for IS but all that were left were stripes, (he'd only wear plain ones) mandarin-collar-ed (He says he'll choke!) and inferior quality unknown-brand ones (he'd only wear Alain Delon, Montagut, Goldlion etc etc shirts) So too bad !!! Match-made in heaven arn't we?? Both cerewet gillerrr!!!!!
Saw quite a number of nice shoes for me but of course the sizes left were only meant for giants or dwarfs. *sigh* The lingerie section was real shop-worthy and I managed to get a "few" pieces. The bedlinen looked real yummy too but by that time IS's patience had run out with following me around the whole store and squeezing his way past hordes of shoppers, so we left.


Picket n Rail was a huge dissapointment. Didn't like their beds at all and their furniture too were so oldies looking. Hhmm.. Now I wonder why so many people said their furniture was nice.... well, different people diff tastes I guess !! What they had were SO not what we had in mind for our new house. We both dun fancy any country-style furniture, kinda cramps our style !!! hehe

What a wunderful day !!! Now if only IS would make this the usual weekend routine ..............
