Everyday Is A Valentine.....
While the lurrve mood is still in the air.. I'd like to pay special tribute (cam Oscars plak eh..?) to the most loving couple I know. My aunt, Nde Shifaq n her husband Ami Zain. (They r, by the way, first cousins...)
They must have been married for more than 30 years and yet looking at them they look like newly weds. Not in the nauseating way of young couples who can't keep their hands off each other but in a sweet, endearing way.
My aunt could be chit-chatting with us in the living room joking and laughing but the moment her husband enters the room, she will get up and sit next to him or sit in such a way that her hand is resting on his knee. All the while, still engaged in the converstaion. So sweeet dun u think?
The photo you see above was taken during Hari Raya last year. Ain't it sweet??
Most other couples I know are like this only the first few years after marriage. By the time they have kids they are no longer "in sync" with their partners. For my aunt and her husband, they have 6 kids and 5 grandchildren. I remember asking them sometime ago if they had ever argued. Both simultaneously replied that there have been slight disagreements (which marriage doesn't) over the years and they would not talk to each other for a while but within the day my uncle will crack a joke and then all animosity is forgotten. Awwwww......
Now thats what they mean by "Everyday is a Valentine..."
