Some luck lies in not getting what you thought you wanted but getting what you have, which once you have got it you may be smart enough to see is what you would have wanted had you known.
Garrison Keillor (1942 - )
I can only hope the above quotation holds true for me. It seems that the date we have chosen is such a popular date. The ever-so fussy me had, with the help of my mom, best friends n my soon-to-be-husband, diligently picked out what we felt would be most suitable to the concept of the wedding. Out of the numerous choices, we had picked one supplier for every item. Imagine my dismay when I found out that most of the suppliers we had chosen were fully booked on that day. I mean seriously, this is only January and they are already fully booked ??!!! "Aaaarrrggghh"

And here I was thinking we have lots n lotsa time to plan n slowly make the necessary decisions.
So since then, I've had to make the necessary adjustments (in budget, mostly) and find alternatives for people who can deliver what I have planned. It's not easy, lemme tell you, especially for the fastidious me who has always had my way in exactly the way I wanted it. I guess its part n parcel of my *getting ready for marriage* process... learning to give n take n undestand that I can't always have things my way.
So tomorrow we have yet another appointment to meet a much hyped about wedding supplier. If everything goes well, we will like what she has to offer and she is available on that day, then we can make a deposit n strike off another thing off our list. Insya'allah.
