Book Hunting
After work yesterday, I went book hunting at KinoKuniya... The place is huge the book collection is great but the staff r sadly very incompetent. Its a wonder how they do recruitment. *sigh* I was given the round-about treatment when I asked for a particular book. Out of desperation I scoured n trawled every shelf in search of it until I finally came to the conclusion thay they dun have it anyway. Just to be doubly sure, I spotted the manager (??) I think!!! He actually did a search for me on his database and indeed they dun have it. *double sigh*
Next stop, BORDERS.... the single, absolute, most reliable bookstore in the whole of SG. Should have just gone there in the first place!! Mahanom joined me soon after and saved me from throwing away $45.00 on a book for which the information is readily available in a magazine worth $6.90. Thats wat u would call a BEST FREN !!! heheh.
Went makan-ing at Seoul Garden @ Taka but as usual stopped at almost every shop on the way. hee hee. Saw a couple of nice 9Wez shoes. Quite affordable... hhmm... Information for KIV. Wanted to check out the Salvatore shoes but we were too late and the boutique was closed. Next time... next time....
Met up with Nani n Alisa who by chance were in Town as well.. Sat n yakked till closing time and by then there were no empty cabs in sight. Waited for sumthing like eternity before decided to call IS to fetch us. By the time he came he was, as you guessed it, quite mad. Hehe Initially I thot he was angry coz he had to fetch us but he was angry coz I did not call him to fetch me. Hhahaha M I a lucky gal or what ? But still I was at the receiving end !!! Chided me for wasting time waiting for a cab when I should have called him earlier to arrange a time for him to fetch me. Ok ok ... next time I will, ok Darling...
