GEYLANG OVERDOSE!!!!

2 days of a row of Geylang !!! Went with Mahanom after buka @ Amirans on Friday. Found Geylang sorely lacking the spirit of raya and the nice clothes. Duno y but the trend for this year's raya looked dark gloomy n dowdy to me. And all the clothes had some embroidery or other. *sulk* *sulk* But we finally found some nice looking clothes @ my fav boutique @ Joo Chiat but the price's kinda steep. Considering that I'm gonna spend Raya this year in Pahang where its gonna b the rainy season (think kemuncup (itz called "love grass" coz it hooks to ur clothes, funny it doesnt summon the same feeling when u find it all over ur clothes) lumpur or worse banjir!!!*Insyallah takde tahun ni*) and I dread spending that $$. ANywayz i aredi have two bajus that I bought this year, both of which has only been worn once.

Funny thing is I went to Geylang again laz nite, hee hee. Actually Umi Mahanom n I went to Arab Street to check out a bridal shop I heard heaps of praises about. When we went there it turned out its was more hot air than anything else. Saw so many beautiful fabrics that I'd die to have. Its too late now to get one done in time for raya but next year no more baju from Geylang boutiques for me !!! Used to be that I'd spend a bomb juz to make sure not many ppl have the same baju as i did but now here's my chance to make sure NOBODY has the same baju as me. Heee heee *paranoid giler eh?* Now all I need to do is find myself a good tailor.

IS met us with us juz b4 buka then we met mahanom n her bro @ JooChiat. Kept walking round the baazar in circles n yet did not find anything the least appealing. i noe it sounds crazy what with the many many shops there but not a single cushion cover nor carpet nor baju was eye-catching. The only thing that was nice r the curtains but I dun need them!!! I've got vertical bilinds in my room!!! *aarrgghh*

Looks like I might not b buying any baju for this raya after all. But perhaps its too early to say. After all, we're going to Geylang again nex Sat. *heeee heee hee he*
