A Near Mishap

Just got off the phone with Umi. Apparently Muhd Idris was in my room playing when my mirror almost collapsed on him. Luckily Su (my maid) who was vacuuming, saw it falling and managed to catch it before it fell on him. Syukur Alhamdulillah he's not injured but he was badly shaken up. Umi said he was fear stricken and his heart was palpitating furiously. I guess its partly my fault. you see, I have this two pieces of full length mirror (Courtesy of my Darling n Ikea) which was hooked on the wall. I caught the mischevious imp playing with it a few times, banging his lil' fists against the mirror. The day of his birthday, I realised that one of the mirror had dislodged from its hook and was swaying freely. So I did wat thought was the best thing to do at that time, took out both mirrors and placed them against the bookshelf, hidden in a corner. That was where there were this morning but I guess my can't-keep-still-for-a-min nephew was poking his nose at that corner. In any case, I've got to put them somewhere else or get rid of them altogether.

Lazy Sunday

The plan was to go look at some cars n furniture today after we came back from our morning Fardhu A'in classes but alas all the plans went awry. We r scouting arnd for a smaller car which has lower monthly instalments n lower fuel consumption than our 1.6 Toyota Corona. Nak sep duit lah kan......So we planned to go car hunting and of coz I couldn't resist blackmailing IS to return the favour by going furniture hunting wif me at Singapore Expo. Initially we wanted to leave after Zuhur, then after lunch, IS took his medication for flu and was stoned. So fine, we were leaving after Asar. By 3 pm, I was sleeping soundly too. Hahahaha....in the end, by the time we both awoke at 5, we were too lazy to go anywhere.

Saturday-Forbidden Fruit

IS was bz today. With the new Hp contract thingy, it means that he's gonna work on Sats. So we didnt actually go anywhere. We were also both down with the flu so he came over and we juz played with Muhd Idris n watched tv. We went for a short drive after maghrib before fetching Umi n her fren Cik Nora from Masjid Ahmad Ibrahim. Stopped at Esso to get sum drinks n ice cream for Umi. Before we drove in, IS and I made a pact we would both not eat the ice cream. We'd only buy for Umi n her fren but when we got there, looking at the rows n rows of Haagen Daaz's ice cream, I couldnt resist myself. Especially since they had "Strawberry Cheesecake". Hehe IS jeling kat I. hehe.

Is n his mom were to go to a chalet that Paman Rizal booked at Aloha Changi. Since we were from Bt Panjang, he thought he'd fetch his mom first then send Umi n I home but Ibu managed to coax us to go along with her. Initially I resisted but since IS said it'd mean a lot to him, I went ahead. The chalet bungalow was HUGE!!! It was fully furnished n there were 4 bedrooms n 3 bathrooms on the 2nd floor. When we arrived, the lights were already off but we were very warmly received (even tho we wern't invited, technically) Nyai was already preparing to sleep but as usual she was happy to see me. There were lotsa food but I didnt eat much *malu* hehe. We finally left at abt 12.45am or so.

I'm glad I get along very well with my future in-laws. I guess half the credit goes to IS coz he always makes it a point to introduce me around and bring me for any family function. Also, I guess it helps that I dun see my in-laws with a negative mindset, unlike most people. I get along very well with all of them, alhamdulillah and insyallah this will go on even after we get married next year.
