JOBS SMOB!!
It's freezing cold here in the office!! I just recovered from my cough but looks like the flu bug has now caught on. UUrrghh!!! It sure doesn't help that I'm sooo full from the heavy lunch THE DON & I had at Sabar Menanti II just now. My eyelids feel like there's a blob of lead on them and they are slowly, slowly but surely coming down.
HELP!!!
You know how some kids scream and plead their way out of going to school in the mornings?? It's like that for me sometimes. (more like almost every day!!) I just can't make myself get out of bed. I used to blame it on my late nights chatting with
Ms 'Meenachi' but I have since discovered that it's still the same even if I sleep early the night before. Every morning as our car approaches my office building porch, I'll turn to THE DON and ask "Do I
HAVE to go to work today?"
To which he will reply "No darling, you don't have to. Follow me to my 9am appointment, we'll go for breakfast then I'll send you home" Hah! He has obviously been trained well. Always says the prefect things!! Perfect but just not possible!!
Not that I have much to complain about my job. The working environment is relaxed and I get along famously with my collegues. Work is light, (How else do u think I manage to write my blogs in the office !!) pay is good. Very good, actually (anybody wants my job?") and the boss is none other than my own brother. (So coming in at 9.40am sometimes is a privilege I get!!) But I feel that my job is not mentally challenging at all. Sometimes I get by the day without using any brain cells at all. No doubt the job has its good points. I meet all kinds of people and I learn a lot about the law. And I learnt a lot on computers too but I need something more mentally stimulating!!! Perhaps then I wouldn't feel this way about going to work in the mornings.
The Don often ask me what I really want to do. Many times I can't really answer him but since the last few weeks, I have been thinking about it real hard and I guess I know now. It's still a few more steps to make it possible for me to clinch that dream job but he has agreed to gimme his full support.(both emotionally n financially!!) But more importantly, I don't wanna have to work for money. I want to have the freedom to choose my work based on my interests and not whether it pays well. Ok ok .. wishful thinking I know. But if business goes on as well for THE DON as it has for the last few years, (or even better, insyallah!) it might just be a dream come true!!

Cavana Banana
The plan was to make a quick drop at Causeway Point to exchange THE DON's graphics card to the latest Nvidia Fx Ultra (Apparently the one he got the other day wasn't powerful enuff for his game! Funny how the graphics card needed to play the game costs 4x more than the game itself!! *rolls eyes* )
Being the shopaholic that I am, put me near a shopping centre and I go beserk!!!! After entering and exiting a dozen shops with THE DON in tow, we were already famished and had to shelve our plans to have dinner at Giant, JB.
We walked into the newest eating haunt in Woodlands, Cavana Chicken. We know Cavana elsewhere is halal but we were not sure about this one coz there was no cert. We went in to ask the manager and he gave us a "Errr..... errr..." answer. So much for his confidence!! Tak was-was pun boleh jadi was-was. In the end, we decided to come back only when they have the cert displayed. So at last, we went to THE DON's finger lickingly fav restaurant for dinner before battling the horrific jam at the causeway on our way to JB.

Eat...Eat... Eat.....
Phew! What a hectic weekend! Spent the bulk of the weekend at the very splendidly designed new-age mosque, Al-Istiqamah for our long delayed Kursus Rumahtangga.
The course was not we expected at all! If we knew it was gonna be this interesting, we wouldn't have waited so long to attend it!! Looks like we're gonna be the first couple in line to sign up for the post-marriage course. Now if only, they'd get a caterer who'd deserve the title of one for us the next time round....hhmm.
Speaking of food, we stuffed our face silly with food, glorious food all weekend long. It kinda spilled into Monday for me too. First stop --> Cafe Samar on Sun night with the usual jebronies. I've heard rave reviews of the place but it was clearly beyond what I expected. The modest exterior gave no justice to the extravagance of the interior. Luscious maroon pillows lined the walls, romantic lighting emitting from the intricate lamps and the soothing sounds of Arab music clearly had me in awe. THE DON echoed my thots exactly when he said if we had the luxury of another spare room, he'd furnish it in the exact same fashion. The Arab side of the family will go ballistic with pleasure!!!!
It was cultural immersion of sorts while we stretched our tastebuds from the usual repertoire of food and the guys clogged up their lungs experimenting smoking the sheesha. Time sure breezed by when you're having fun with old friends.
We had another office lunch on Monday. This time at Tambuah Mas, Paragon, courtesy of generous lawyers who topped up our meagre office lunch fund. The food was splendid !!! Look at the size of that fish!!!
And my darling Don kept his promise to bring me to Haagen Daaz last night. Cubes of multi-flavoured ice cream dipped in melted chocolate sauce with fresh strawberries and nuts on the side. Mmmm....the fondue was simply FANTASTIC!!!!!
Don't salivate ok?

Since all I had for lunch was a measly chicken feuillette from Delifrance, I was starving by the time THE DON fetched me from the office. Despite having an appointment with our ID firm on the western end of the island we drove all the way to Changi Village for nasi lemak. You won't find us queueing for the "famous" stall though. (We think the food there is largely overrated!) We prefer the one just opposite it. (tastier sambal!!!)
We still could not confirm anything with our ID as he needs to come down to take a look at our place before we can give us a final quotation. HDB floor plans can be very misleading!! He will be bringing us to see his completed units in Punggol and & Pasir Ris sometime this week to show us his workmanship. Apparently he is some sort of a celebrated designer coz his designs often end up in mags in Singapore. Well...let us be the judge of that !

SPIDEY, SAMSUNG & SOCCER
Went to Causeway point with the sole intention of meeting Alisa for my very belated birthday dinner but ended up going on a shopping frenzy (wat's new huh?). I sure don't need a quiz to know my shopping style --> ULTRA IMPULSIVE!!!!! hehe
SAMSUNG X430
Surprised Umi with a gift of a new hp yesterday since hers was nearly kaput anyway. I merely dropped by the Teleshop to check if her line was upgrade-able already. But since the price of the Samsung phone I was eyeing for her was much lower than what I expected it to be, I bought it there and then. I just lurrve this phone. Its even better than my V200. A whole lot more graphics and moving wallpapers too. And now that we both have Samsung phones, I dun have to worry when I forget to bring my charger when we go travelling.
Dropped by METRO and got for my handsome boy this. He absolutely loves Spiderman. (or Man-Man as he calls it) I just lurve getting him sumthing new. He will play with the new toy all day long for the next two days or until a newer toy comes along. He will even bring it with him to the shower and even hold it in his sleep.
Anyway this huge spidey sticks to the wall and has a retractable string-like thing attached to his arm. The spidey's legs and arms move so it really looks like he is really scaling the wall. Real Cool!!!
And of course the long overdue present for my other handsome darling. He has been wanting this for a very long time but keep putting off getting it coz he certainly has no time to actually play it. But with his two recent big projects, the stress is really getting to him so I thought this will make a great stress-reliever.
Especially after being sick for soooo long, the shopping spree was a great escapade for me !!!! Hmmm..... Let's see any more SALES today ???

I took the Blogging Personality Quiz at About Web logs and I am...The Writer
Words captivate me. And, I like to capture words. Blogging enables me to write often. It also provides a place for me to share what I write with a reading public. I can be funny, inspiring, intelligent, cynical, or morbid. It doesn't matter what I write about in my blog. It only matters that I write.

Overdosed...
Ok Peeps I'm gonna have to eat up all the words in my blog entry yesterday about people who like to sleep. I reached home yesterday just before 7 (had to go down to Plaza Sing to meet THE DON) and guess what? I fell asleep at 8pm and didn't wake up till 6.30am this morning. Really!!! I swear! I don't know what in the world overcame me but I slept like a baby. All through the night. I didnt even wait till THE DON left yesterday. Good thing I had served his dinner before I slept. But he had to do all the clearing up himself.
Actually I just wanted to lay down for a few minutes while waiting for THE DON to finish checking his emails. I had SPONGEBOB on the telly and that was the last thing I remembered. I don't think I even switched off the TV, or the light for that matter. (THE DON must have switched them both off for me)This morning when I woke up, I took a good 5 minutes to think about why I slept for so long. Then it occurred to me. I must have taken double dosage of my cough mixture.

To Sleep Perchance To Dream......
Havnt been sleeping well at all these past few nights. Hate these coughs which somehow seem to come in fits only when I am sleeping. Been having weird dreams too. Funny cause I usually have dreamless sleep. I remember them being quite sad dreams but its funny how when I wake up, it all goes fuzzy and I can't remember the details. Anybody had similiar experiences ??
You know how some people list sleeping as their hobbies ?? How is that? I mean sleeping to me is just one of life's necessity. I don't particularly enjoy it. Its just something I do when I absolutely cannot open my eyes anymore. I'd rather use the time doing things I enjoy like reading, surfing the net etc etc. What do they mean when they say sleeping is their hobby? Do they schedule time for sleep on Saturdays? *weird*
If I had my way, I'd make more 24 hrs places. A 24hrs shopping centre (other than Mustafa's!!!) (Takashimaya Bosses, are you reading this ?) A 24hrs library, a 24 hrs cinema (wait there's one already at Cineleisure but on weekends only). I bet THE DON and I will be their most loyal patrons. (We're both late sleepers!) Hey I heard they're trying to make KL a 24 hrs city... wonder how's that coming up ??
